Rod Dioso is the designer of www.pageshome.com. He was born in Toronto
to Filipino parents. In 2000, he completed a Bachelor of Design from the
Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD). After a brief foray into the
world of advertising, he travelled to Saitama, Japan. From 2001-2004, Rod
lived and worked as a Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET Programme)
participant. He also exhibited his paintings at the Tokyo Design Festa.
In 2003, he was shortlisted for the Aoyama Design Award in Tokyo.
His recent work is focused on altering his travel photography to create
digital works of art. His work has been displayed in Toronto at the
Annex Patio Art Show, the Queen West Art Crawl and during Toronto
Artsweek events.
Suzanne Desrochers is the writer for www.pageshome.com.
<>She was born in Midland, Ontario and grew up in Lafontaine,
a nearby French village. Suzanne is an MA student
in Interdisciplinary Studies at York University. She is working
on a historical novel tracing the life of a fille du roi of 17th century
New France. She is the recipient of a SSHRC Canada Graduate
Scholarship Master's Award.
In 2000, she completed her B.A.in Women's Studies at Glendon College,
York University and was awarded the Departmental Book Award.
In 1999, she received a Stong College Playwrighting Award for
Wings of a Sparrow. From 2001-2004, Suzanne was a participant on the
Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme in Saitama, Japan.
She performed poetry at several Tokyo venues. Her short story "Shooting Stars"
was published in Faces in the Crowds: A Tokyo International Anthology
(Printed Matter Press, 2002).
Her travel writing and opinion pieces have appeared in a number of
Tokyo and Toronto-based publications, including NOW Magazine. >
