Subject: cool site man!!
Hey Rod!
No wonder haven't heard from you for so long.......you must be burning your nose in photoshop, html everyday, and working your butt off trying to finish off your site, so you can get it out on time for Canada day! What a great present for Canada day! Cool site man. Well Done! I like the collage images you put together in the site. I really dig your painting section. Awesome mural man!! Too bad I can't take a closer look at all the details. 400 photocopies of your sketches....you crazy son of a ****....didn't you get tired of photocopying all this shit, and you had to accomplish all the work in 48 hours? Amazing Job! It would be so cool if I could stand in your both examining all the sketches, trying to make sense out of everything I saw before me.
I love your series of the clown paintings. I remember you told me about them last year. Keep up the good work man! Let the series go on and on...this project got legs!(sorry for the advertising buzz word). Maybe you can paint some politicians that you don't like as a clown. I love the texture on the paintings, it makes me want to touch it, and it also reminds me of Van Gogh. The Dragon Chaser is my favourite, I love the colours! Bright and vibrant! Is this painting about smoking weed or something......you know, it makes me think of that phrase "chasing the dragon."
I love your sketches, it is interesting to see how you put together your drawings and the Japanese stuff that you collected. I like the artsy feel and their sense of immediacy. As a matter of fact, they inspire me to do a similar project like that. I should scan in all my concert tickets, tour shirts, or things that I collected from all the gigz, then do some sketches about the shows that I went to, and then put everything together in photoshop and see what I'll get out of it. It should be a fun project…
…the sun just came up, so it is time to go to bed. Anyway, as always, it is nice to hear from you! Great site, and keep me posted with all your updates.
Hope everything else is well with you also!
Take care!Joannes
