Suzanne
Desrochers is from Lafontaine, a
French-Canadian village on the shores of Georgian
Bay in
Ontario. In 2007 she
completed an MA at YorkUniversity
in Creative Writing and History. She is
currently working on a novel based on her thesis research of the Filles
du roi
of seventeenth-century
New France. In 2006 she
participated in the HumberSchool
for Writers summer workshop in
Toronto and has since remained involved with the community of writers
she met there.
Her writing has been published
in Tokyo and in NOW
Magazine in Toronto. She is an
editor for the society section of the online journal le
Panoptique. She lived for
three years in Saitama,
Japan and for four months in Paris on a graduate exchange at the
Sorbonne.She
currently resides in Toronto
with
her husband, his family and their cat.
